Create Blog & Earn Money From Home what is Blog?
How to Create Blog & Earn Money Online Many, many readers question me about starting a blog and making money with it. There are already a lot of articles about blogging here, but I thought it would be good to create a page to start the right path.
I have learned a lot in my nine years of blogging, but I have also made a lot of “newbie” mistakes that you can avoid! So, speaking from personal experience below is a summary of what I suggest if you would like to blog professionally.
Keep in mind that blogging professionally requires investing time and money, and it is also not a fast way to make money. That said, it is very beneficial and can pay well if you stick to it.
Can you earn real money from a blog?
Absolutely. Blogging is my full-time job and more than paying the bills. However, I was not able to claim “Full-Time Blogger” as my job title until around 2013. It was then that my blogging income finally surpassed whether I was ever working outside the home. So yes, you can definitely make real money! But don’t quit your day job until you see that you are, and it proves to be a consistent income stream.
Blogging is one of the things you have to work on and work on, constantly experiment with, and never stop learning before you see real results. And, not everyone likes a challenge, nor does everyone enjoy working hard for long and not seeing much return on their efforts. So you really have to enjoy the process.
Can you blog about
Before getting into the way of starting a blog, you need to think something. You should have a general idea of what you would like to blog about.
You can blog about anything you want! But, if you want to get traffic / to make money, then your blog needs to cover a topic that people are really interested in and also a topic that you are interested in.
For example, my blog is about performing from home. People are interested in that. I am also interested in that. This is perfect! You can also start a food blog. Or a craft blog. Or even a blog to save money. The sky is indeed the limit.
Many people initially have the temptation to just start blogging about their daily lives. This is fine if you only want to blog as a hobby, but it is not okay if your ultimate goal is to earn a living with your blog.
You have to remember that your day-to-day life may be interesting to you, your friends and your family, but it is not interesting to those who do not know you. Therefore, you will probably never get a lot of traffic nor make a lot of money with a blog like that. How to Create Blog & Earn Money Online.
If people are interested in the subject matter, you can get traffic, make money, and work from home on your own terms. But again, it takes time and patience.
Do not set up your professional blog on a free site
If you plan to blog professionally, it is best not to use a free blogging platform.
When you’re set on a free blogging platform, you don’t actually create your blog. You’re just setting on someone else’s property and you’re at their mercy if they decide that they don’t like your blog (and sometimes they destroy the blog when they decide to). Therefore, I would suggest avoiding Blogger, WordPress.com (other than WordPress.org), Weebly, etc. for your professional blog. If you want to become a professional blogger, it is smart to set up with a self-hosted WordPress.org blog.
When is it ok to use a free platform
If blogging is a completely new concept for you and you just want to play a little earlier, then setting up a blog on a free site is fine. There is nothing wrong with learning the ropes and what exactly blogging is on a site like Blogger where no money investment is required.
But then, if you think you really like blogging, move your blog, or start a new one, to self-hosting.
Already set to a free blogging platform?
Is your blog already found out on a free platform? Don’t worry – you can move. You can either try to move by just Googling how to do it, or you can let a professional do it for you. It won’t be free, but it will save you a lot of headaches and time. How to Create Blog & Earn Money Online
How to start a blog – initiative, get a self-hosting account
You have to host your blog somewhere. The idea of “hosting” is confusing to new bloggers, but basically your hosting account is a way for you to make your blog/website accessible via the Internet. If your domain is not connected to the host, no one will be able to visit it.
For cheap, fast, and straightforward hosting for fresh bloggers, many of us recommend SiteGround. You can purchase your domain name and host it all on SiteGround. This is so easy!
And hosting on SiteGed costs you only $ 3.95 for the least expensive plan, which should be fine if your blog is new and hasn’t got a ton of traffic yet. If you find that is not working for you then you can always change your plan.
Sitegade is one of the least expensive, simplest, and fastest ways to get a blog up and running today. Also, they offer a money-back guarantee for 30 days after purchasing your plan, if you decide that blogging is not for you at all. I have step-by-step instructions here to get a WordPress blog up and running with SiteGade (should take ten minutes or less to do so).
What do I use for hosting?
Note that I personally use the liquid web. They are slightly more expensive than SiteGround, but I have excellent timing and their support is unprecedented. As my traffic increased, I ended up needing to use a pricier service. Their standard plan is around $ 1.62 per day. I use their Storm VPS.
Visit & Buy>> { SiteGround }
If you get more than 100,000 page views per month on your blog, I would definitely recommend looking on the liquid web. Their support is very helpful and will answer any questions that get you up and running.
Install WordPress on your domain
Once your domain name and hosting account is set to SiteGuard, you are ready to install WordPress and start building your blog! SiteGround makes this very easy for you. If you can’t know how to do it on your own, you can contact them directly through live chat and have them do it for you.
Once WordPress is installed, you should be able to type yourdomain.com/wp-admin or yourdomain.com/login in the address bar of whatever browser you use and set by you when installing WordPress Put in credentials.
If you are looking at your WordPress dashboard, when you type wp-admin in your domain name or login to your address bar, it means that your blog is online!
Choose WordPress theme
Your WordPress theme will have a direct impact on how your blog looks. WordPress comes with Twenty Nineteen themes by default and is fine and functional, but many people like to experiment with other themes. There are lots of cool free themes and some very sleek, professional paid ones too.
Like most of the people, I started with a free theme and upgraded to a paid theme. I personally use the Genesis framework and my child theme was purchased from Restore 316, a designer with all the gorgeous, feminine themes and step-by-step tutorials. You will need to purchase the Genesis Framework separately (around $ 60) and install it first, and then install your child theme. These are also usually around $ 50 to $ 75. So, for a professional subject, you should not exceed $ 100. How to Create Blog & Earn Money Online.
Cover yourself and your blog legally
So this is definitely not the “fun” part of starting a blog, but the fact of the matter is that when you are a blogger, you are putting yourself there. And putting yourself out there comes with some risks. If you are going to make money with your blog for example, then you need an affiliate disclosure to not break the FTC rules. You also need a privacy policy and a terms and conditions page.
This goes without saying to most people (unless they have attended law school) not knowing how to write various disclosures, disclaimers, policies, and contracts so that they are professionals and will cover you legally. Luckily, there are online resources where you can buy templates for these things so that they are written correctly so that you can get to them quickly.
Personally, I like the various templates and contracts available from The Contract Shop, created by Christina Slera, an Emory Law School graduate. As a blogger, I recommend you to cover yourself with the Terms and Conditions / Privacy Policy Bundle. When you start with brand collaboration, there is also a great contract for it.

Getting Blog Traffic
There are three primary ways visitors to your blog:-
Organic Search (Google, Bing, etc.)
Social Media (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter)
Your newsletter – Traffic from people who have subscribed to you
How to increase traffic on blog Once you start writing, the first thing is that people will not only read what you have written on your blog as soon as you hit that publish button. Yes, eventually Google will index you in search and you can start seeing a small trickle of visitors from that, but traffic is not just an overnight thing.
Social media was in the earlier days when I started this blog, so I relied heavily on search engines choosing my content to get any traffic. But now social media makes up a large proportion of the traffic I receive, and I no longer depend on search engines only to get people here. How to Create Blog & Earn Money Online.
Don’t waste time – as soon as your blog is online, create a Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest account for this and start using them. Every time you write a post, share it on those networks! As traffic comes to your blog, it can take time to build a following on those sites, but if you are serious about blogging professionally then it is worth the effort.
You also need to set up a newspaper as soon as possible, put an opt-in form somewhere on your site and start collecting emails from people who have visited your blog. Emailing them at least once a week is the best way to get them back! I use ConvertKit for my newsletter service, but if you want and can use MailChimp, you can go the free route.
